For the New Year, travelers received a gift of rapid check-in, thanks to the domestic flight self check-in kiosks at the Sheremetyevo Airport.
The airport opened two new self luggage check-in kiosks (40 and 41) at its Terminal D. The service is available to passengers flying within Russia with Aeroflot.
Any passenger that has already checked in for their flight and has an electronic boarding pass on hand, either on their mobile device or as a printed copy, may access the luggage system on their own. To do that, the passenger has to follow step-by-step instructions on the screen, which include getting a boarding pass and weighing their luggage. Finally, the device prints out the luggage tag, which the passenger sticks on their bag. After that, the passenger should place their bag on the luggage carousel.
During the current pilot run, the system works with domestic flights only, and allows to check in one bag per passenger. The bag must not be heavier than 23 kg, and its dimensions must not exceed a total of 158 cm.
If the bag does not meet these requirements, the passenger will have to use regular check-in desks. All the other requirements (such as placing round bags or bags with straps in a tray) remain the same.
Important reminder: passengers may register for the flight via self check-in kiosks in the departure zone, or by using online check-in features on the Aeroflot website and in the official mobile app.
